thanks yall for doing the marathon stream this GDC! real boon for people like me that didn’t get out the San Fran.
Yeah, in the same boat, not able to attend… Great stuff in there.
Here’s the link again for those who missed it: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/125470703
I haven’t had a chance to watch all of it yet (and was in the wrong timezone to watch it live, except for the very start) but so far my favourite bit was the Spiderman retrospective. Interesting bit of gamedev history and still looks really fun to play… the joy of movement as core mechanic is something more games could focus on I think.
Any chance it would be possible to split these up into individual videos and put them on YouTube? Twitch is kind of unwieldy for casual selective watching.
Thanks for checking out the stream and the feedback. If you want to answer the specific questions, here is the link to the form we created during the stream. We can create highlights for individual videols, though I’m not sure how long those can be. I’ll look into that.
In the meantime, here is the timecodes for each talk. Thanks to Jonathan Cooper for doing this!

Just wanted to say hi and thank you for doing the stream (and also getting the video up). I’m also going to be lurking on here, now. I work with V-Neck Tim Serkis as his pocket programmer. Looking forward to seeing more cool stuff from you all and chatting about animation fun times 🙂
Couldn’t agree more with everyone’s comments! I’ve facebooked it, I’ve tweeted it, and now I’m posting on the forum about it….fantastic talks! Thank you to everyone that was involved and had a hand in putting it together.
