It all started one night during GDC (the Game Developers Conference) in San Francisco. A group of animators, having spent the week networking with peers, sharing ideas, and recharging their enthusiasm for this crazy industry we are a part of, lamented the fact that there wasn’t a way to tap into this excitement year-round. Sure there was Twitter and the occasional article or podcast, but there wasn’t a hub for animators to gather, communicate, share, and get the latest news and info specific to their craft.
Enter AnimState. Sort of an evolution from a previous site, reanimators.net, AnimState is meant to be a central place for all things related to game animation. Articles, interviews, news, panels, and an active forum will give developers and students access to a wealth of content and information.
We’re always working to make this site better, so if you have something you’d like to see added or changed, or have an idea on how to improve the experience, please don’t hesitate to let us know through the contact page or on the forum.
Welcome, and thanks for being a part of AnimState!
